About Hayley

Hayley Evans is a UX leader, researcher, and strategist who is passionate about creating human-centered experiences that make a positive impact on the world. Over the last decade, she has explored a variety of topics at the intersection of health and technology in academic, government, and health tech start-up settings. She has experience conducting research to design and test new products, digitally transforming legacy technologies to meet modern consumer needs, and leading performing research teams.

Hayley’s leadership style is democratic, and she empowers her teams to rely on their collective strengths to take charge of and complete projects (and yes, she often conducts research herself as an individual contributor). She believes transparency, open communication, and frequent reflection/iteration are fundamental to team success. Nothing brings her more joy than creating an inclusive environment where team members feel safe and are excited to do meaningful work.

Hayley has her Ph.D. in human-centered computing from the Georgia Institute of Technology, her M.A. in graphic communication management and technology from New York University, and her B.A. in Spanish from Loyola University Maryland.

Outside of work hours, you can find Hayley kayaking, hiking, gardening, or working at the livestock animal sanctuary she runs in Western New York.
